Shevchenko, Surkis and Shufrych were officially expelled from the NOC

The National Olympic Committee (NOC) excluded Andrii Shevchenko, Hryhoriy Surkis, Nestor Shufrych, Zhan Beleniuk, Andriy Kozhemiakin, Georgy Zubko and Yevhen Pronin from its membership.

 In particular, during the NOC General Assembly on Friday, a decision was made to accept the resignation of football player and coach Andriy Shevchenko, who was vice-president of the NOC; Olympic champion and People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the faction "Servant of the People" Zhan Beleniuk; President of the Hockey Federation of Ukraine Heorhiy Zubka; People's Deputy from the "Batkivshchyna" faction Andrii Kozhemiakin; People's Deputy Hryhoriy Surkis; Acting President of the Athletics Federation of Ukraine Evgeny Pronin, People's Deputy Nestor Shufrych.

 At the same time, the NOC elected the Ukrainian athlete, who specialized in hammer throwing, the Olympic Games medalist Oleksandr Krykun, as the vice-president of the committee. Yuriy Kopytko, the first vice-president of the Wrestling Association of Ukraine, was also included in the executive committee of the NOC.

 Among other things, the honorary member of the Committee, Mykola Kravchenko, was expelled for actions that harm the reputation of the NOC.
