The Ukrainian command took part of the troops to the north towards the border with Belarus to protect against a Russian attack. This was stated by the Ukrainian ambassador in London, Vadym Prystaiko, in an interview with the British TV channel Sky News.
"We have to keep the troops in the north of Ukraine, withdraw them from the front line. This is necessary to ensure that they (the occupiers) will not be able to cut the line that connects us with the West," the diplomat said.
According to him, the authorities of Ukraine are really concerned about the situation on the Belarusian border.
