Minister of the US Navy: Soon we will have to decide who to arm - ourselves or Ukraine

US Navy Secretary Admiral Carlos del Toro believes that within the next six months, the country may face a shortage of weapons due to aid to Kyiv. He said this on the sidelines of the National Symposium of the Surface Fleet Association in Arlington, writes Newsweek.

"The admiral mentioned that the US has to choose between itself and Ukraine during a panel at the conference," Defense One editor Marcus Weisberger reported.

He added that despite the fact that Ukraine was given land and not naval weapons, the opinion of the admiral is shared by other American military personnel.

"Over the next six months, the U.S. Navy may have to decide whether to arm itself or Ukraine due to reports of a weapons shortage," Newsweek quoted del Toro as saying.
