The British government confirmed for the first time that it plans to provide Ukraine with tanks. This is reported by the Financial Times with reference to a government official.

According to the insider, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak asked Defense Secretary Ben Wallace to "work with partners" in the coming weeks to move "further and faster in our support to Ukraine, including the provision of tanks."

The leadership of Great Britain is confident that the supply of battle tanks will change the situation at the front in favor of Ukraine.

"We are accelerating our support to Ukraine with next-generation military technologies that will help win this war. It is obvious that battle tanks can change the rules of the game for Ukrainians," said a representative of Downing Street.
