The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, once again called on Western allies not to delay the decision on tanks for Ukraine in order to save the lives of the military, and hinted that a positive signal could come from another country after Poland. He said this at a joint briefing with the presidents of Lithuania and Poland in Lviv.
"We expect a united solution. One state will not be able to help us with the Leopards - because we are fighting with thousands of tanks of the Russian Federation. Our people have already proven everything, they are stronger even than Russian tanks. But our partners should feel sorry for our people first everything - because it is a treasure and the potential to win this war, and not to spare this or that amount of equipment for transfer.
I think it will happen - I see a positive decision on the part of Polish colleagues... Today we are waiting for a positive signal from another country about supplying us with modern Western tanks," Zelenskyi said.
It should be noted that the head of the defense committee of the German Bundestag called to start training the Ukrainian military to use Leopard tanks right now, without waiting for a decision on their transfer.
