Turkey supports the opening of a humanitarian corridor for those injured in Russia's war against Ukraine. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reports Milliyet.
"We have started this process. Şeref (Turkey's ombudsman Şeref Malkoç) is talking about whether it is possible to open a corridor for the wounded. We support it," Erdogan said.
According to the Turkish president, it is not only about Ukraine. He explained that the wounded were brought to Turkey from Syria, Azerbaijan and Libya, treated in hospitals and sent back.
"We will continue this activity in the future," Erdogan said.
