The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, as part of a working trip to Lviv, held a coordination meeting on the current security situation in the northwestern regions of Ukraine, in particular on the operational situation on the border with Belarus, the press service of the head of state reports.
"We understand that, apart from powerful statements, we don't see anything powerful there, but we have to be ready both at the border and in the regions," Zelenskyi emphasized.
It is noted that information was heard about counter-subversive measures in the respective territories. The President was informed about the condition and strengthening of fortifications on the border, as well as about the material support of border guards and military personnel in the regions bordering Belarus.
The meeting participants also heard information on ensuring the protection and reliable functioning of the Rivne NPP.
Zelenskyi noted that protection from external risks will contribute to the normal functioning of the economy of these regions.
"The morale of the population is important, how people work depends on it, and how we support the army, our defenders, depends on their work," the president said.
Zelenskyi also honored the memory of Ukrainian soldiers who died in battles with the Russian invaders. The ceremony took place on the Field of Mars of the Lychakiv cemetery. In its central part, since April 2022, servicemen who died during the Russian-Ukrainian war have been buried.
