Saakashvili's Christmas greeting: "Freedom will win"

The imprisoned ex-president of Georgia Mykhailo Saakashvili published a Christmas greeting on the social network. Saakashvili, in particular, thanked Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia the Second, who held a "warm and long" conversation with his ex-wife Sandra Roelofs and son Nikoloz.

Earlier, the head of the Georgian Orthodox Church sent a letter to Saakashvili and wished him "strengthening of spiritual forces and knowledge of the true, different reality."

Saakashvili says that some misunderstood the words of the patriarch, associated the word "reality" with prison, and not with spirituality.

"Over the past year, I have really strengthened spiritually, for the first time I received Holy Communion, confession, anointing, and most importantly, I had a lot of time and opportunity to pray.

As for the prison, the main slogan of the Ukrainian fighters is "Freedom or death!", so freedom will win.

Merry Christmas to everyone," Saakashvili wrote.
