Ukraine plans to more actively use the potential of renewable energy and build a decentralized energy system so that it is less vulnerable to enemy attacks. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the government meeting.
"Plans for energy decarbonization and "green" transformation remain relevant. The war made these challenges even more urgent," Shmyhal said.
According to him, the government will more actively use the potential of renewable energy: solar, wind, hydrogen generation, hydrogen technologies.
"Russian attacks are pushing us to radical reform - the construction of a decentralized energy system. Then it will be less vulnerable to enemy attacks. It is about the creation of mini-power plants and small generation facilities, implemented in the existing energy system," Shmyhal explained.
