Anyone who wants to admit Russian athletes to international competitions should visit Druzhkivka, where the invaders destroyed the Altair ice arena. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, wrote about this on Instagram.
He emphasized that all fans of "sports outside of politics" should see the photo of the Altair ice arena destroyed by the Russians, where international competitions were held and both children and adults trained.
Kuleba reminded that it was one of the key arenas for the development of Ukrainian sports and the largest hockey and figure skating school in Ukraine.
"The only blows that took place here were hockey bullets. So far, no blow has been struck by "depoliticized" Russian bombs. I invite all sports officials who seek to admit Russian athletes to international competitions, because "sport is outside of politics", including the president of the IOC Tomas, to visit "Altair" and see for himself the "sports neutrality" of Russia," the minister noted.
According to him, maybe then the people who want to admit the aggressor country to the competition will understand why it is immoral to cover up with abstract "neutrality" in such a situation.
"Russia and Belarus must bear full responsibility for their crimes against peace, and their athletes cannot participate in international competitions as if nothing had happened," the head of the MFA stressed.
