Prime Minister of Georgia Iraklii Garibashvili believes that the country's government "scrupulously fulfilled" all twelve recommendations of the European Commission, which it put forward for Tbilisi to become a candidate for membership in the European Union. News-Georgia reports this.

"We believe that our country will receive this status very soon. The reasons for saying so are the reforms that we all carried out. With the participation of the parliament and the government, all 12 recommendations were scrupulously implemented," Garibashvili said on Wednesday.

The Georgian Prime Minister also stated that the European integration of Georgia took place only thanks to the current ruling party "Georgian Dream".

"The association agreement, free trade, visa-free regime, the official application for membership in the EU, which has become official, and the adopted European perspective - all this is thanks to the Georgian Dream," he listed.
