Prime Minister of Georgia Iraklii Garibashvili said that an "organized disinformation attack" is being carried out against Georgia and instructed Georgian ambassadors to fight it.
At the meeting with the ambassadors, Garibashvili said that they should "fight the disinformation campaign, which is taking place not only from within our country, but also from other countries."
"We perfectly understand that this is an organized attack on the interests of our country. This attack, this disinformation, requires effective countermeasures," the prime minister said.
Recently, as is known, there have been more and more worried statements from Western politicians regarding the state of democracy in Georgia and the situation of the imprisoned ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili. Official Tbilisi rejects all criticism.
Garibashvili also said that he considers what Georgia is doing to support Ukraine to be sufficient, and that he is "displeased to hear" Kyiv's statements.
