The President of Serbia Oleksandr Vučić instructed the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, General Milan Mojsilovic, to come to the border with Kosovo due to the tension in the region.

In a comment to the Serbian mass media on Sunday, Moysilovic said that the situation in the municipalities in the north of Kosovo with a Serbian majority is difficult and "requires the presence of the Serbian army along the administrative border in the near future."

He said that after the meeting with Vučić, he was heading to Raška, a town about 10 km from the border between Serbia and Kosovo.

Also on Monday night, the NATO peacekeeping mission KFOR reported that a patrol near the Zubin Potik settlement heard and saw shots near them, but the car and personnel were not injured.

The latest round of escalation in Kosovo began after a pro-Serbian party announced a boycott of authorities in four northern municipalities. After that, the Kosovo police entered the municipalities, and re-elections were scheduled there.
