Russia may start a new wave of offensive in the framework of the war against Ukraine already in February. Such terms are related to the training of mobilized soldiers. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, in an interview with The Guardian.
He recalled that within the framework of the so-called "partial mobilization" Russia managed to call up about 300,000 people. Of these, Moscow is already using 150,000 to strengthen its units, and another 150,000 is being carefully prepared for future offensives.
"The second part of the mobilized, approximately 150,000 people, has started training courses in various camps. They have been preparing for at least three months. So, they will try to start the next wave of the offensive as soon as possible in February, like last year. This is their plan," the minister said . .
According to Reznikov, Russia will likely continue to mobilize its citizens in the future, as the main tactic of the occupiers is the "meat grinder", where they throw as many people as possible into the battle, hoping that they will destroy the smaller Ukrainian army.
"The Kremlin is trying to find new solutions to win," he added.
