Russia, especially Putin and Peskov, must accept the "new reality" - Podolyak

The adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, stated on Twitter that the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and his press secretary, Dmytro Peskov, who repeats the thesis of "new realities" in the form of Ukrainian territories allegedly "joined" to Russia, themselves need to accept "a new reality" ".

"Russia (especially the subjects of Putin and Peskov) need to accept the 'new reality'. There are no stolen Ukrainian territories within Russia 'forever'. There is only the loss of reputation as a monster country, Russian military defeats, destroyed contract army, sanctions and even contempt to the CSTO," wrote Podolyak.

It should be noted that on December 13, in response to a question about the possibility of starting the withdrawal of troops from Ukraine by the end of the year, at the suggestion of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Peskov said that "this cannot be discussed."

According to Putin's press secretary, Ukraine should "take into account the realities that have developed over all this time." Such "realities" Peskov called the attempt to annex part of the territories of Ukraine during pseudo-referendums this fall.

In his opinion, "new subjects appeared in the Russian Federation" as a result of these pseudo-referendums and "without taking into account these new realities, any progress" within the framework of the settlement is impossible.
