Russia's continuation of energy terror may increase the drop in Ukraine's GDP to 50% - the Prime Minister

The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, said that if Russia continues to shell the infrastructure, the Ukrainian economy will shrink by up to 50%.

"The reduction of the Ukrainian economy is predicted at the level of 35-40%. If Russia's terrorist activities against our infrastructure continue, we may lose another 10% to these figures, i.e. up to 50% of our GDP," Shmyhal said at the Paris Economic Forum on Tuesday .

It should be noted that last week the first Deputy Minister of Economy, Denys Kudin, reported that Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure increased the rate of decline of Ukraine's economy in November of this year until last November approximately to 41% compared to 39% in October and 30.8% in the third quarter. According to him, in general, the GDP decline forecast for this year has worsened to 33.2% from 32%.
