The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine threatened Iran for supplying weapons to the Russian Federation

Ukrainian experts have provided Tehran with sufficient evidence of Russia's use of Iranian drones for attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. This is stated in the comment of the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleg Nikolenko.

"We are not surprised by Iran's repeated objections to the supply of weapons to Russia. During the technical meeting, Ukrainian experts provided sufficient evidence to the Iranians. There are hundreds of recorded facts of shelling of the territory of Ukraine by Iranian drones," the comment reads.

"No matter how they continued to twist in Tehran, the Ukrainian side made it clear: the consequences for supporting the war against Ukraine for Iran will be much larger than the potential benefit from its cooperation with Russia," Nikolenko added.

It should be noted that the day before, Iranian Defense Minister Reza Ashtiani stated that at the meeting of Ukrainian and Iranian experts, the Ukrainian side did not provide evidence of Russia's use of Iranian drones against Ukraine.

"The Ukrainian team postponed this issue until the next meetings, although it is not important and there is no need to follow it, because many of these statements are based on shaky foundations and unsubstantiated rumors," Ashtiani said.

In addition, on Monday, the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanani Chafi, said that Tehran did not send weapons to "any side" and that Iran's cooperation with Russia is based on common interests and "is not directed against third countries."

"The positions of Iran have been repeatedly voiced. We are not a party to the conflict in Ukraine and we believe that a diplomatic solution is the way to end it, and we have repeatedly emphasized that we did not send weapons to any of the parties," he said.
