French President Emmanuel Macron announced the achievement of an agreement on the withdrawal of Russian heavy weapons from the territory of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant in Energodar, captured by the occupiers. Macron's statement was made at the international conference on providing aid to Ukraine, which opened today in Paris, Sky News reports.

 According to him, negotiations are currently underway on how to "remove weapons from the station."

 "We managed to protect Chernobyl, and our goal is to protect Zaporizhzhya. The coming weeks will be decisive," Macron was quoted as saying by the publication.
