Ukraine has started negotiations with Germany regarding the provision of Patriot air defense systems. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, in a comment for Polsat News.

 The minister emphasized that Ukraine fully supports Poland's idea of ​​deploying Patriot in the west of our country. According to him, this is the best way to protect not only Ukraine, but also Poland and other European and NATO countries.

 "We have started negotiations with Germany on this issue. We have raised these issues with the US because they have the Patriot technology. I am also using the NATO and OSCE ministerial meetings to talk to everyone who can help us make a positive decision on the delivery of the Patriot to Ukraine." - said Kuliba.

 The head of the Foreign Ministry also commented on the fears of some German politicians. He stated that Germany has already transferred equipment to Ukraine that helps destroy Russian troops. At the same time, the Patriot system is not a lethal weapon, it will protect Ukrainians from missiles.

 It should be noted that the German Ministry of Defense stated that the government is not negotiating with Ukraine regarding the supply or deployment of Patriot air defense systems.

 "I am not aware of any negotiations with Ukraine," said the spokesman of the ministry.

 He explained that the head of the Ministry of Defense, Christine Lambrecht, proposes to deploy, rather than transfer, the Patriot system to Poland. However, the German military will rule.
