The war in Ukraine showed that the security of Europe depends too much on the USA - the Prime Minister of Finland

Russia's invasion of Ukraine showed that Europe is too dependent on the US for its own security. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Finland, Sanna Marin, writes Reutets.

Speaking at a think tank in Sydney, Marin spoke in favor of increasing Europe's defense capabilities, including weapons production.

"I have to be extremely honest with you, Europe is not strong enough right now. We would be in trouble without the US," Marin said.

She added that she had spoken to many American politicians who said they believed Europe should be stronger.

"The United States has given Ukraine a lot of weapons, a lot of financial aid, a lot of humanitarian aid, and Europe is still not strong enough. We have to make sure that we create those capabilities when it comes to European defense, European defense industry," Marin said.
