A landmark resolution recognizing the Holodomor as genocide was agreed by Germany's Democratic factions. It should be adopted next week, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, said on Twitter.
"All democratic factions in Germany have agreed to an important joint resolution on the Holodomor, which is to be adopted next week. Resolved: The Bundestag considers it a genocide," Kuleba wrote.
Kuleba called on Germany to recognize the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people
The Verkhovna Rada also asked parliamentarians of the world to recognize the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine as genocide.
