The European Parliament is calling to recognize PMK "Wagner" as a terrorist organization

Members of the European Parliament want to recognize the private military campaign "Wagner" as a terrorist organization. This was reported by Politico.

European MPs call on the EU to include "Wagner" PEC in the list of terrorist organizations. The group, headed by Yevgeny Prigozhin, a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has participated in various military conflicts: from Ukraine to Syria, Sudan, Mozambique and the Central African Republic.

Members of the European Parliament representing the entire range of parliamentary groups (from the extreme right to the left, as well as Renew, the European People's Party, the Social Democrats and the Greens) sent a letter dated November 11 to the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Peter Fiala, whose country presides over the Council of the EU.

The deputies state that the "Wagner" group should be recognized as a terrorist organization in view of the violations of international law that the members of the group continue to commit in Ukraine, as well as in view of the "previous exploits of the Wagnerites" in other conflicts.

To date, only one EU state, Estonia, has recognized the "Wagner" group as a terrorist organization, the MEPs noted.
