Russian President Vladimir Putin is flying to Armenia next week to participate in the CSTO summit.
Kremlin spokesman Dmytro Peskov told journalists about this on Friday.
The summit of heads of the CSTO member states will be held in the capital of Armenia on November 23 under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The organization stated that one of the most important issues will be "improving the CSTO crisis response system and discussing joint measures to provide assistance to the Republic of Armenia."
A declaration is expected to be adopted during the session.
It is planned to sign a number of documents, in particular, on "equipment of peacekeeping forces with modern weapons, military and special equipment, joint formation of radiation, chemical and biological protection".
At the summit held at the end of October, the leaders of the CSTO states discussed a "prospective" response to the escalation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and agreed to consider it in November.
After that, Putin received the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan, to discuss the issue of regulating relations between the states. As a result, the statement was accepted without any breakthrough agreements.
