The retreat of the Russians from Kherson means another strategic failure for them - Wallace

Russia's retreat from Kherson marks another strategic failure for Moscow. This is stated in the statement of the Minister of Defense of Great Britain, Ben Wallace.

"In February, Russia was unable to take any of its main objectives, except for Kherson. Now that it has also surrendered, ordinary Russians should ask themselves: 'Why was all this necessary?'" the statement said.

The minister added that the Russian army suffered huge losses as a result of its illegal invasion and achieved only international isolation and humiliation.

"Ukraine will continue to apply pressure. Great Britain and the international community will continue to support it, and while the withdrawal of troops is welcome, no one is going to underestimate the threat that remains from the Russian Federation," Wallace said.
