NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that it will be possible to draw conclusions about what is happening around Kherson later on the development of events, but reminded that Ukraine has already repeatedly forced Russian troops to leave the occupied territories. He said this at a briefing in London in response to a media request to comment on the events near Kherson.

"We saw the announcement, but for now we will wait and see what will happen there. But what do we know - that Russia was first pushed out from under Kyiv, then - in the east around Kharkiv, and now we see that the Ukrainians are able to push back the Russian troops in the south as well around Kherson. It is inspiring to see that the brave Ukrainian military is able to liberate new and new territories," said Stoltenberg.

The Secretary General noted that this is primarily due to the courage and professionalism of the Ukrainian military, but Western aid also plays an extremely important role.
