President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy held a meeting with a member of the Cabinet of the President of the United States, the permanent representative of the United States to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
"He talked about the situation at the front and Russia's missile terror. About 40% of our energy infrastructure facilities were damaged by targeted attacks. Therefore, the first priority is the urgent creation of an air shield over Ukraine," Zelenskiy said.
It is also reported that various issues of world food security were raised during the meeting.
According to the president of Ukraine, thanks to the implementation of the grain initiative, millions of people in the countries of Africa, Asia and Europe have food. Ukraine is ready to continue to be the guarantor of world food security.
For her part, Thomas-Greenfield reiterated that the United States is unwavering in its support for Ukraine and is ready to support Ukraine as long as necessary. She also promised to continue working at the UN to strengthen international support for Ukraine's sovereignty and to call on member states to protect international law and the UN Charter.
