Emergency blackouts in Ukraine may end in two weeks - DTEK

Emergency power cuts in Ukraine may end in two weeks. This information was announced by the executive director of the DTEK holding, Dmytro Saharuk, on the air of the municipal TV channel "Kyiv".

According to him, emergency power cuts in Ukraine will continue for another two weeks.

Saharuk called the current situation in the country's energy sector difficult and emphasized that even with the help of fan power outages, household consumers are unable to reduce the deficit in the energy system.

At the same time, according to the executive director of DTEK, the need for emergency power outages in Ukraine will disappear if all repair work on critical infrastructure facilities is completed, and the Russian Armed Forces do not carry out new missile strikes.

"In the central and northern regions, there is a large shortage of electricity, so there are not only schedules of hourly outages, but also schedules of emergency outages. Kyiv and the Kyiv region are also on this list. If there are no new shellings and destruction, everything can be repaired in the near future, within the next two weeks," Saharuk continued on the broadcast of the municipal TV channel.

According to the executive director of DTEK, there is a deficit in the energy system of Ukraine, because household consumers not only do not save electricity in the intervals between its disconnection, but also increase its consumption.
