The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, Urmas Reinsalu, provided the members of the government with a program of actions to strengthen relations between NATO and Ukraine and provide comprehensive assistance to Ukraine.
This is reported by the ERR portal.
According to Reinsalu, Ukraine needs long-term support in resisting Russia's aggressive war and integration into Euro-Atlantic structures.
"Ukraine is fighting for European security and values that are important to us. Our support for Ukraine, allies and the entire alliance will help to counter the threat from Russia," said the head of the Foreign Ministry of Estonia.
He noted that it is also important for Estonia to step by step integrate Ukraine into possible formats of NATO cooperation with the help of practical cooperation. In its activities, Estonia relies on the decision of the NATO summit in Bucharest in 2008 that Ukraine will become a member of NATO.
From November 29 to 30, a meeting of foreign ministers will be held in Bucharest, one of the topics of which will be relations between Ukraine and NATO.
