The European Union may start supplying certain volumes of electricity to Ukraine instead of importing it. This was stated by the representative of the European Commission, Tim McPhee, during the briefing.
"The energy system of Ukraine is already connected to the system of the European Union, in recent months there have been small exchanges of energy. In the current conditions, the EU can supply a certain volume of electricity to Ukraine. As for the details and possible volumes, it is necessary to clarify this," McPhee said.
It will be recalled that after a series of massive missile attacks by Russia on the energy infrastructure, a decision was made to stop the export of electricity in order to stabilize its own energy system.
