The President signed the law on increasing military expenditures of the 2022 state budget by another UAH 387 billion

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy signed the law on increasing expenditures of the state budget of Ukraine for 2022 by UAH 386.87 billion. for financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies (draft law №8126).

 According to the law, additional costs will be financed by a corresponding increase in domestic borrowing - up to UAH 1 trillion 497.24 billion.

 It is proposed to send an additional UAH 365.16 billion to the Ministry of Defense (in particular, UAH 219.13 billion for wages), the Ministry of Internal Affairs – UAH 12.9 billion (UAH 5.84 billion), the Security Service – UAH 3.74 billion (UAH 3.58 billion ), GUR of the Ministry of Defense - UAH 3.17 billion (UAH 2.37 billion), State Special Communications - UAH 1.25 billion (UAH 1.21 billion), UDO - UAH 0.59 billion (UAH 0.57 billion) and The foreign intelligence service - 45 million hryvnias.

 The law provides for an increase in the maximum size of the state budget deficit to UAH 1 trillion 497.24 billion, and the maximum size of the state debt at the end of the year to UAH 4 trillion. UAH 33.76 billion.

 Currently, the revenues of the state budget-2022 have been approved in the amount of UAH 1.553 trillion, including the general fund – UAH 1.211 trillion, while the expenses – respectively, UAH 2.648 trillion, including the general fund – UAH 2.224 trillion.

 Initially, in December of last year, the revenues of the state budget-2022 were approved in the amount of UAH 1.324 trillion, including the general fund - UAH 1.183 trillion, which is 9.7% and 12.2% more, respectively, compared to the approved revenues of the state budget-2021.

 The initial expenditures of the 2022 state budget amounted to UAH 1.499 trillion (3.8% more than in 2021), including the general fund – UAH 1.346 trillion (+5.3%).

 According to the National Bank, since the beginning of the war, the Ministry of Finance has raised UAH 149.1 billion (equivalent), including UAH 100.22 billion, $1.073 billion, and EUR 468.4 million, from the placement of domestic state loan bonds, while it has sent 164.21 billion to repayment UAH, $1.681 billion and EUR168 million.
