The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Serhiy Lavrov said that Russia is going to discuss at the UN the issue of the creation of a "dirty bomb" by Ukraine, reports UP.
"After yesterday's telephone conversations between Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and his colleagues from France, Great Britain, Turkey, but also with the head of the Pentagon, we took the necessary steps to raise this issue in international structures, primarily at the UN in New York, and today, our representatives will deal with this with the expectation of an interested and professional discussion of the problems we will touch on," Lavrov said.
He claims that Russia has "specific information" about Ukrainian scientific institutes that allegedly possess technologies that allow for the creation of a "dirty bomb."
"There is information, which we checked again through the appropriate channels, that this is not an empty suspicion, that there is a serious reason to believe that such things may be planned," the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized.
