The German company Hensoldt AG, which specializes in sensor technologies for protection and surveillance in the defense, security and aerospace sectors, handed over the first TRML-4D multifunctional radar station to Ukraine. This is stated in the press release of the company.
"The situation in Ukraine requires quick and decisive actions. Thanks to the serial production line and the dedication of our employees, we can supply such systems for the protection of the population in the shortest possible time," said the company's general director, Thomas Müller.
The company is handing over to Ukraine four of its high-performance radars for the Diehl Defense IRIS-T SLM air defense system, designed to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.
"One of the TRML-4D radars has already been delivered, and three more will be delivered within a few months," the company added.
The radar is said to be capable of detecting, tracking and classifying various types of aerial targets, focusing on small, fast and low-flying and/or maneuvering cruise missiles and aircraft, as well as helicopters.
In addition, TRML-4D provides rapid detection and tracking of about 1,500 targets within a radius of up to 250 km.
