President Volodymyr Zelenskiy discussed with the President of Switzerland Ignatius Cassis the issue of the assistance of Swiss partners in eliminating the consequences of Russian missile attacks on energy facilities of Ukraine, as well as the restoration of Ukraine. He said this during a press conference in Kyiv.
"We discussed with the President the possibilities of Switzerland helping Ukraine to eliminate the consequences of Russian attacks on our energy facilities," Zelenskiy said.
Also, according to him, it was about the possibility of Switzerland to take part in the modernization of our transport infrastructure, in particular the railways.
"Switzerland has the necessary experience and potential that we can use to update the rolling stock of Ukrzaliznytsia," the head of state said.
In addition, Zelenskiy emphasized that the issue of the possibility of Switzerland's involvement in the development of certain branches of the Ukrainian economy, in particular, the processing industry, the restoration of telecommunications systems in the de-occupied territories, countering cyber threats, was discussed.
"Given the unique experience of the Swiss side, they discussed cooperation in the field of building bomb shelters in Ukraine and demining," Zelenskiy added.
