The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, signed two decrees that put into effect the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) regarding sanctions against a number of Russians and Russian companies.

The relevant documents are published on the President's website.

The decrees are dated October 19. The list adopted by the NSDC includes more than 3,800 individuals and legal entities - 2,507 and 1,374, respectively.

"Today (October 19, - ed.) the President of Ukraine signed two decrees on the entry into force of sanctions that were introduced by the NSDC. It was a big, complex, painstaking job. After the publication of these sanctions, there will be rather unexpected names of Russian oligarchs and a very large number of companies, enterprises, and so on," Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of the NSDC, commented on the president's decision on Channel 24.

According to Danilov, sanctions against one person "will be separated for a certain period of time."

"This is taking into account issues of national security, according to a letter from one of our departments. But I cannot say that this is an exception. This is a certain postponement," said the secretary of the National Security Council.
