The leader of the Belarusian opposition, Svitlana Tykhanovskaya, offered Ukraine to establish diplomatic relations with its United Transitional Cabinet, effectively a government-in-exile.

She said this in her video address to President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

"The United Transitional Cabinet is ready to cooperate with Ukraine and establish diplomatic and political relations. We are ready to act together with Ukraine, because without a free Ukraine, there can be no free Belarus and Europe," Tykhanovska said.

She recorded her address in Belarusian and offered Ukraine to "create an alliance with democratic Belarus, fight together and support the Belarusian resistance."

"I believe that Russia will be defeated, and Ukraine will restore its territorial integrity and protect its independence. All this time, Belarusians will be with the people of Ukraine," Tykhanovska said.

She said that she is proud that Belarusians are fighting in Ukraine against the Russian invaders and that partisan groups opposing the Lukashenka regime are operating on the territory of Belarus.

"Belarusians are not Lukashenko. Lukashenko is the shame of my country. He gave permission for Ukrainian cities to launch missiles from the territory of Belarus. He announced the deployment of a joint group of armed forces with Putin. It is unknown what Lukashenko will announce tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, because he no longer makes decisions , the Kremlin does it for him... That is why Belarus should withdraw from the military-political and economic unions with Russia, which undermine the national interests of our country," Tsykhanovska said.
