The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, is convinced that Russia committed war crimes during the missile attacks on Ukraine. He stated this on Monday, commenting on the latest developments.

"The terrible blows inflicted by Russia on Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine demonstrate the Kremlin's desperation," he wrote on Twitter.

"These indiscriminate attacks on the civilian population are war crimes," Charles Michel emphasized. As you know, war crimes are violations of international humanitarian law, which can become the subject of consideration in international courts and entail punishment.

He emphasized that the European Union is committed to supporting Ukraine and "bringing the Russian regime to justice" and promised to consider this issue within the framework of the G7, in which the EU is invited to participate.
