The Kyiv court decided on the temporary transfer of Mykhailo Saakashvili to Ukraine for the purpose of investigative measures. This was announced by the lawyer of the third president of Georgia.
According to the lawyer, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine will send this decision to Georgia, after which they will decide whether to extradite Mykhailo Saakashvili as a witness.
According to Shalva Khachapuridze, the court in Ukraine is considering the case initiated there based on the current events, according to which Saakashvili is passing through the victims.
"His lawyer filed a motion to interrogate Saakashvili as a witness, the court made a decision to transfer Saakashvili from Georgia to Ukraine, where he should be interrogated as a victim. The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine will send it to Georgia and then a decision will be made whether or not Saakashvili will be transferred as a witness," - Khachapuridze declares.
