The anti-corruption prosecutor's office of Moldova refused to consider the complaint of pro-Russian ex-president Ihor Dodon against Maya Sanda.

 This is reported by Newsmaker.

It is about Dodon's complaint from September 1 that Maya Sandu unjustifiably rejected the nominations of 13 judges proposed by the Supreme Court. In addition, he claimed that Sandu caused losses of 2.5 million lei to the state by failing to make a timely decision on the nominations of 27 more judges who asked to extend their mandates until reaching the age of 65.

In its response on October 4, the prosecutor's office noted that Dodon's appeal does not meet all legal requirements, and also considered each of the accusations item by item, indicating that a criminal investigation cannot be conducted on them.

The department also reminded that criminal liability is provided for false denunciation.

After that, Ihor Dodon said that the answer was allegedly "written in the president's office" because he "found out about the characteristic style", and that he would not yet appeal the refusal of the prosecutor's office in order not to create political pressure on the judges.
