The heads of foreign affairs of Armenia, Azerbaijan and the USA will hold a tripartite meeting in New York

On the initiative of the USA, a tripartite meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov will be held in New York on Monday. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

The heads of foreign affairs of Armenia and Azerbaijan are in New York to participate in the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.

The last time Mirzoyan and Bayramov met was on July 16 in Tbilisi. It was the first bilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of the two countries since 2020 without intermediaries. The talks took place against the backdrop of an unannounced visit to Yerevan by CIA chief William Burns, who met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the head of the Armenian Security Council.

In July, Anthony Blinken offered US help to Armenia and Azerbaijan to achieve peace.
