If nuclear or chemical weapons are used in Ukraine, Russia will face serious consequences. At the same time, the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, and his entourage will become the biggest outcasts in the world. US President Joe Biden said this in an interview with CBS Evening News.
Thus, the American leader commented on the journalist's question about the possibility of the Russian Federation using weapons of mass destruction.
"Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. It will change the face of the war (in Ukraine) to something that hasn't happened since World War II," Biden said.
He did not specify specific steps the US would take in response. However, he emphasized that there will certainly be "consequences" for Russia.
"There will be consequences. They (Putin and his regime) will be the biggest rogues in the world than ever before. And depending on the scale of what they do, the response will be determined," added the head of the White House.
