On Monday, it will be known who will lead the Conservative Party of Great Britain and become the next prime minister.
This is reported by the BBC.
Two months after the resignation of Prime Minister Boris Johnson and amid a cost-of-living crisis, Britons will finally know who will replace him. The results of the vote, in which around 200,000 Conservative Party members took part, leave little room for intrigue, with Foreign Secretary Liz Truss ahead in the polls over former finance minister Rishi Sunak.
The 47-year-old minister, who remained loyal to Boris Johnson until the end, when executive resignations numbered in the dozens in early July, will become the third female prime minister in British history, after Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May.
After the end of the party vote on Friday evening, on Monday at 1:30 p.m. Kyiv, the successor to Boris Johnson, who was forced to resign after a series of scandals, is scheduled to be announced.
The new Prime Minister will take office on September 6 after being appointed by the Queen.
