In Britain, 60% of factories may close during the price of electricity - Bloomberg

If the price of electricity continues to rise, six out of ten plants in the UK could stop working. This is reported by Bloomberg.

This statement was made by the federation of British manufacturers MakeUK. According to the organization, the current decline in the manufacturing sector may worsen in the future if the government does not take measures to support enterprises.

"The current crisis presents businesses with a difficult choice. To curtail production or close the shop altogether if help from the government does not come soon," the MakeUK report says.

Earlier it became known that the cost of electricity in Europe exceeded 1000 euros for the first time. The price of European standard contracts (German Power) for 2023 exceeded the mark of 1,000 euros per MWh.
