Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. In particular, the parties discussed the resolution of the tense situation around the ZNPP, which is under the control of the Russian occupiers. This is reported by Reuters.

It is noted that during the negotiations, Erdogan suggested to Putin that Turkey become a mediator in the issue of the Zaporizhya NPP.

At the same time, the two heads of state also discussed the situation with the export of grain from Ukraine and confirmed the continuation of the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant in Turkey.

Erdogan and Putin agreed to discuss the above issues in more detail during a meeting in Samarkand (Uzbekistan) at the summit, which will be held on September 15-16.
