The finance ministers of the G7 countries have agreed on a ceiling price for Russian oil. This was reported by Sky News journalist Tamara Koen on Twitter.
"The finance ministers of the G7 countries agreed on the maximum price for Russian oil during a virtual meeting this afternoon," she said.
"We will limit Putin's ability to finance his war through oil exports by banning the provision of services, such as insurance and financing, to vessels carrying Russian oil above an agreed ceiling price," UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Nadhim Zahavi said.
At the same time, he added that the G7 countries are united against Russian barbaric aggression and will do everything possible to support Ukraine in its struggle for sovereignty, democracy and freedom.
