The former ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia left Tbilisi

The former ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia Ihor Dolgov, who was officially recalled six months ago, is leaving Tbilisi.

As "European Truth" writes, he announced this on his Facebook.

"Dear compatriots, dear citizens of Georgia, dear friends! Today (August 31. - Ed.) I am flying from Tbilisi to Warsaw, and then to Kyiv," Ihor Dolgov said.

The diplomat recalled that he had been working in Georgia since 2017. Among other things, he thanked Georgia for sheltering Ukrainians who went abroad because of the war, and Georgians fighting in the ranks of the Armed Forces.

"I am sure that our two brotherly nations will do everything possible to strengthen relations between Ukraine and Georgia. Glory to Georgia!" - Ihor Dolgov said goodbye.

It will be recalled that on March 1, Ukraine recalled the ambassador to Georgia for consultations in connection with the obstruction by the Georgian authorities of the departure of Georgian volunteers to Ukraine and sanctions against the Russian Federation. However, Ihor Dolgov did not leave Georgia after that and sometimes took part in events, contrary to the rules of diplomacy.
