The European Union should strengthen the fight against Russian propaganda. To do this, it is necessary to ban the broadcasting of all state TV channels of the Russian Federation. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy during the "Forum 2000" held in Prague.
The head of state noted that Russia's propaganda machine threatens the EU, as it aims not only against Ukraine, but against all democratic values. Zelenskiy called for a ban on Russian state media in Europe.
"We have to take another step to create a base of values. The Russian propaganda machine is still operating in Europe and Russian television is still available to European viewers. They are trying to discredit European democracy. You have to protect yourself from Russian propaganda. No Russian state TV channel should operate on the territory of the EU," the president said.
Zelenskiy also said that Ukraine and Europe should unite to punish war criminals and those who tortured and deported Ukrainians. And that is why a special court should be created.
"Finally, there must be a reaction to all the tyranny that Russia brought to Europe. And I hope that you will do it, support the idea of creating a special tribunal to punish the crimes and aggression committed by those who started the war against Ukraine," he added Zelensky
