Polish President Andrzej Duda said that the Russian regime has broken a great taboo, which has always been a tough no-holds-barred line since the Second World War. He said this during the lessons on the occasion of the Polish Armed Forces, reports RMF24.

Andrzej Duda said that the scale of "Russian aggression against Ukraine, against an independent, sovereign, democratic state, against our neighbor - it was important to expect."

"I have absolutely no doubts that this has overturned what some had expected, while for others it was a total failure," the Polish president assessed.

He said that "the Russian regime has broken a great taboo, which has always been a tough security cordon since World War II, That no force attacks another power in a frontal manner, to disenfranchise it, to take away its independence, to take away the land, to put the existence of the state and the nation at risk.

Duda praised the aid given to Ukraine and its citizens.

"I thank you from the bottom of my heart that even though we are not carrying weapons in our hands, but we are part of these events through our assistance to Ukraine and its people, through the service of our soldiers during this conflict, through the support that our allies are giving us and primarily to Ukraine," the Polish president said.
