It is vital to end the active phase of the war before winter sets in, because the risks of Russian attacks on the heating and energy infrastructure of Ukraine are preserved, the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak said, according to UP
"Of course, such risks (missile attacks on thermal energy facilities) are preserved throughout the war. The Russian army continues to attack our infrastructure. One of their goals, they do not even take care of it. Accordingly, this is one of the reasons why we want to make maximum efforts to complete the active part of the war by the end of the fall," Yermak said.
In his words, it is a difficult and ambitious task, but vitally necessary.
"We are doing everything in order for the goal of de-occupation to be achieved. And, accordingly, we explain to our partners. They support our position," he added.
At the same time, the head of the Provisional Government said that the longer the Russian troops stay in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and try to entrench there, the more difficult it is to deacoup these territories.
