Police shot and killed a homeless man armed with a knife at Paris airport

On Wednesday morning, French border police shot and killed a man armed with a knife who was threatening people at Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport near Paris.

 

The police prefecture of Paris and its environs said this on Twitter.

 

"Showing equanimity, police this morning neutralized a man who threatened with a knife at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport," the statement said.

 

The incident took place this morning in the public area of terminal 2F of the airport. BFM-TV reported that the man, allegedly homeless, behaved aggressively and threatened with a knife. Police officers repeatedly asked him to put the knife down, but to no avail.

 

According to a source close to the investigation, the man approached the officers, who shot him. As a result of the wound to the abdomen, the man died.

 

According to Le Figaro, there is no question of terrorism.
