The Swedish Ministry of Health confirmed that the Russian ambassador had been summoned

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden confirmed that it had summoned the ambassador of the Russian Federation, including after a post on the official page of the embassy, where Swedes in the ranks of the Ukrainian army are threatened with execution.

The Foreign Ministry said this in response to an inquiry by EuroPravda after media reports citing sources said the ambassador had been summoned.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs can confirm that yesterday it summoned Russian Ambassador Viktor Tatarintsev. During the meeting, he was once again condemned by the Russian Federation's aggression against Ukraine. During the discussion, the Foreign Ministry also criticized the Russian Embassy's outrageous Facebook post of July 25," the Swedish Foreign Ministry noted.

In the said post, the Russian Embassy reacted to the death in Ukraine of Swedish volunteer Selander Patrignani, who fought in the ranks of the International Legion, and publications about him in the Swedish media.

The Russian embassy criticized the media for "trying to create a positive high moral image" of Patrignani, whom Russia considers "an ordinary mercenary" and that he should be considered a criminal under international law no matter what good stories his comrades and friends tell about him.

The embassy also states that all Swedes in the ranks of the Ukrainian army face "trial" in the puppet "L/DNR" and long prison sentences "up to the strictest punishment - death," and all volunteers should understand this.

Swede Edward Selander Patrignani, born in 1994, was a reserve lieutenant, economist, and philosopher, and wanted to form "a platoon composed entirely of Swedes," Gromadske Radio wrote about him in its article.
